The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading a talented kitchen brigade. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest culinary standards, developing menus, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations

Supervise and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food

Ensure consistency and quality in every dish served

Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards

Develop and implement seasonal menus using locally sourced produce

Control stock levels and minimise waste

Contribute to training and development of junior chefs
What We’re Looking For:

Experience in a Sous Chef role at multi-sites or in a busy quality kitchen environment

Strong knowledge of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients

Passion for creating outstanding dishes with attention to detail

Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team

A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure

Availability to work 45 hours per week on a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and during busy holiday periods

- GCSE (or equivalent qualification) in Maths and English
- N.V.Q Level 2 – Professional Cookery (or equivalent apprenticeship)
- N.V.Q Level 2 Pastry (or equivalent)
- Minimum Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (Level 3 is preferable)
- An understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of Procure Wizard (not essential, training will be given)
